Treatment of Hip Articular Cartilage Delamination with Chondrolabral Stabilization

چکیده
To describe the treatment of hip cartilage delamination in a cohort patients without labral tears using chondrolabral stabilization and compare results this technique to undergoing repair delamination. A retrospective study was performed on with (wave sign) no tear identified at time surgery creating Wave Sign Group (WSG). These were treated suture anchors. An age matched wave sign made up Labral Tear (LTG) used for comparison. Patient reported outcomes (PROs) including Modified Harris Hip Score (mHHS), Outcome – Activity Daily Living (HOS-ADL) Sports Specific Subscale (HOS-SSS) obtained minimum 2 years postoperatively. Other included rate revision arthroscopy conversion arthroplasty. The consisted 47 each WSG LTG. Both groups showed significant increases all PROs over period compared preoperative values. At final follow-up neither group difference their PROs. mHHS 79.1±21.2 80.9±16.67 LTG (p=0.65). HOS-ADL 83.5±21.0 vs. 85.1±15.3 respectively (p=0.77). There between HOS-SSS (66.6±28.6) (68.1±28.3) (p=0.83) follow up. No required or Chondrolabral is an effective signs but leading similar chondral repair. Short-term follow-up.

Delamination rates of tissue flaps used in articular cartilage repair.
A popular strategy in the treatment of articular cartilage lesions involves the introduction of cell suspensions into the defect void and its closure with a periosteal flap (autologous chondrocyte transplantation technique). We applied this methodology in goats and discovered that all sutured flaps (n = 6 animals) became detached from nonimmobilized joints during the recovery period. The purpos...
متن کاملViability Assessment of Chondrocytes Obtained from Flap Type Injuries in Patients with FAI
The cartilage damage of the hip secondary to FAI occurs mainly in the chondro-labral junction and progresses from loss of fixation to the subchondral bone (ie wave sign) to cleavage tear with an obvious separation of the chondrolabral junction but no delamination, to macroscopic debonding of the articular cartilage from the acetabular bone (also known as delamination or flap). The end stage inv...

BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to examine the frequency of articular cartilage calcification in patients with end-stage hip OA. Further, its impact on the clinical situation and the OA severity are analyzed. METHODS Eighty patients with OA of the hip who consecutively underwent total hip replacement were prospectively evaluated, and 10 controls were included. The patients' X-rays were a...
متن کاملHyperthermia for the treatment of articular cartilage with osteoarthritis.
Osteoarthritis (OA) is one of the most frequent musculoskeletal disorders in the elderly population. OA is characterised by a gradual loss of extracellular matrix in the articular cartilage of joints. OA can only be managed by artificial joint replacement when joint destruction becomes severe. Therefore, it is preferable to administer conservative therapy that is easy, simple and effective in i...
